There is SMS? support with most of Callcentric’s US phone numbers, however – the problem with that is there is a monthly fee, and a per SMS received/sent cost. If your SMS message is 161 characters, then you will be charged for 2 SMS messages due to the limit of 160 characters for SMS. You would also have to download their app which means a whole another program to work with. So while it might support SMS, the question is it worth it? I would leave your SMS message to your cellular plan which I am sure you have one.
Keep in mind that if you have an Android or Apple smartphone, you likely have support for RCS?. If this is the case, you can communicate with anyone else that uses RCS for just the cost of data. Each character = 1 byte, and 1,000,000 bytes = 1MB. With that said, RCS is a much better solution especially since most people likely supports RCS.
